Remote Theater and Games Classes for Playful Kids
In light of the current pandemic, there is an ever-greater need to support our children at home. We are here to help.
We at Child’s Play NY have translated our award-winning theater classes into on-line programming that kids around the world can join. Our typical classes bring out joy, laughter and connectedness – our remote classes are no different.
Class Schedule and Info
The nurturing teaching staff of Child’s Play NY brings the excitement of games into your own home through virtual class sessions. Your child can do these classes with their friends and even meet a new community of peers. We stimulate their imaginations, foster their creativity, give them a physical release and most importantly a much-needed social outlet.
Classes are capped at 10 kids and led by two Child’s Play NY teachers.
Length of class is 45 minutes.
Siblings registering for the same class who will participate on the same device only pay once.
You’ll need to have the app, Zoom, on your device of choice.
Once you register, you’ll be sent a unique code that you can use to access the class.
Classes will be physical so make sure your child is set up with some space around them to move.
Kids are encouraged to speak, sing, vocalize and make noise so ideally they are in a space that they feel comfortable doing so.

Make your own class
These small group experiences are tailored just to your child. You get to choose from our robust catalogue of classes or customize your own based on their interests. We can start a private session with as few as 5 kids, and we’ll cap the class at 10. Kids enjoy the benefits of uniting with friends near and far and being social while gaining skills in the arts!
We are here to make sure they engage in friendships, stay in touch with their community, learn new skills and enhance their mental well-being in these trying times…what better way to do this than through play?
Testimonials
It was so fun to hear my son laughing at the computer and interacting with his fabulous teachers and wonderful castmates while we are all practicing social distancing. Thank you for keeping the classes going and the lines of communication open.

Child’s Play NY jumped right into our school’s online programming our first week home. It was such a relief to have an active, imaginative activity for them with their familiar teachers. Alla and Rachel are doing such a great job keeping the kids engaged and entertained as well as getting a ton of “sillies” out. Thank you, Child’s Play!

My rose today was my daughter singing in the bedroom with your teachers! She was feeling blah and then then did your class and was so happy. Thank you all for making a difference and for making our day!

Child's Play NY teaching artists are pure magic. And we need magic at a time like this! My 4th graders' theater residency was interrupted when school shut down, and Child's Play worked with me to continue to provide authentic, imaginative, and uplifting theater experiences for my students right in their own living rooms. Seeing the kids faces light up during our online classes brings me such joy. Parents and kids have reached out to tell me how much the teachers and classes mean to them. It's a wonderful way to connect with each other and enter a world of pure imagination.

My son has been a student at Child's Play twice -- once as a three year old and now again as an 8-year old budding thespian. I can't say enough wonderful things about Emily, Jocelyn, and the entire crew at Child's Play. The in-person classes and productions are incredibly engaging, positive, and professionally done. In addition to teaching kids the skills of acting, singing, and movement, this group is incredible at opening up childrens' imaginations and building their self esteem. When the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic hit, Child's Play did not miss a beat. We were moved seamlessly into a professionally run virtual production of the Lion King and I have to personally thank the instructors and the entire operation at Child's Play for making my son feel the much needed continuity and safety of continuing with this group. I literally watch him enjoying himself during the virtual sessions (the happiest part of his week), and I cry every time with gratitude towards the special people who are bringing this joy and enrichment to my child's life during such a difficult time. A lot of programs went "virtual" during the pandemic and some don't work as well in that format. Child's Play is a massive exception to this -- their virtual learning is top shelf and we are so fortunate to have this group in our lives.
